Goin' ham. Just finished this, the latest in my series treating the perceptual painting process. Taking vessels of various sorts as their subject, these paintings represent literal and figurative containers of my time and energy. Quite a bit of an investment in this one... Been working on it for the last couple months. Thought it might go quicker if I did a preliminary drawing to work some stuff out... Didn't quite work out that way. Here are some earlier states:












My brother Nathaniel and I got some work in a show called "Spring Exposition" held jointly by Black Hole Gallery and Asymmetrick Arts in Rockland, Me. That's his painting,"Big Baby", hanging to the right of mine. A great show. Nice to get it out there, too!
